Keep, motte and bailey castle, château
Medieval architecture can be seen in the keeps such as those in Limont, Huccorgne, Amay, Seraing-le-Château or even Nandrin, Villers-le-Temple and Soheit-Tinlot. Old motte and bailey castles can be found in Hesbaye, notably a Faimes and Lamine.
The Terres-de-Meuse also boast an incredible number of manors, country seats and châteaux. The most famous of which are those in Modave, Jehay, Waleffe and Warfusée, listed as major Walloon heritage sites.
The old ramparts are worth exploring in Huy, where the toponymy relays the medieval past of the town.
