Crisnée

The attractive commune of Crisnée lies on the Hesbaye liégeoise plateau, close to the border with the province of Limburg, around 8 km from Tongeren.
Crisnée has managed to retain its rural character with attractive landscapes in all seasons. The commune is criss-crossed by footpaths and cycle paths.

Thys, a remarkable heritage

In terms of architectural heritage, the prize goes to the imposing château-farmhouse near the church of Saint-Pierre de Thys, once the residence of the local lords. In 1703, the castle served as headquarters for the Duke of Malborough. The church of Thys is also remarkable, with its Romanesque tower-porch.
