Wednesday in Huy and at the Nature Park

River, shopping and heritage treasures

Whether you’re a lover of history, nature, shopping or good times, Huy is the town to discover.

On Wednesday mornings, enjoy breakfast at the market. Flavors and scents come together every week at the largest market in the Terres-de-Meuse region. A beautiful morning stroll between the aisles of producers and the Meuse.

At the stroke of midday, the choice open to you is wide. From traditional brasseries to local bistros, gourmet restaurants to local French fry shops.
You’re bound to find a restaurant to suit your tastes and desires.

The rest of the afternoon is devoted to shopping. From small boutiques to big names, the city of Huy is sure to meet your expectations.

In harmony with nature

Are you not into shopping? The call of the great outdoors is stronger than anything?
Then escape to the Burdinale-Mehaigne Nature Park.
Joyaux de Terres-de-Meuse, the Nature Park lies between the Hesbaye plateau and the banks of the Meuse,
in the triangle formed by the towns of Huy, Andenne and Hannut.

You can discover it on foot, by choosing a beautiful itinerary.
Our favorite? The Pierre à Moha walk.
This easy walk owes its name to the stones in the village.
Long at more or less 7 km, this route which passes by Moha castle is very easy, even with children.

You can combine the walk with a visit to the castle.

Everyone to the market

After your walk, stop off at the little Braives market for dinner: roast chicken, goat’s cheeses,
traditional breads, good local vegetables! Don’t forget to treat yourself to a local beer, such as Léopold 7 or Crapule!
